I love …
… my family, because they give meaning to my life.
… traveling, because it opens my mind to more truth and possibilities.
… books because, well, by now you know I love stories!
… movies, probably because we ran the local theater in my hometown when I was growing up.
… puzzles, because I like to work on things I know I can complete. Finishing things is one of my superpowers.
… Arizona sunsets, because they take my breath away. Each one is a masterpiece!

I have been married to the love of my life for 30 wonderful years. We have three daughters and a son, three sons-in-law, and two beautiful little grandchildren. They are everything to us!

A little about how I became a Life Historian:
For me, life is all about CONNECTION!
That's why I'm so interested in life stories. As I hear about a person's life, I discover things I hadn't known or understood before, and I always feel a new appreciation for the storyteller. I ALWAYS feel a connection.
I started helping family members write their life stories in 2012. Little did I know what an impact it would have on my life! Since that first book, I have helped many others write their stories, and it has been such a privilege! Believe me when I say that I have seen miracles!
I have seen the storyteller gain peace and understanding around some of their difficult life experiences as they have sorted through and recorded their stories. I've witnessed forgiveness that has come through greater understanding. I've seen grandchildren who were strengthened as they learned of their grandparents' stories of overcoming trials. I've seen hearts softened toward family members as they learn more about their life circumstances.
Those are the connections I love to see.
Sharing life stories is a personal and vulnerable experience for the storyteller. I feel humbled and honored when people trust me with their stories or those of their loved ones, and I am forever changed because of what I learn from them.

The heart-shaped branches are connected to roots that become the pages of a book. This reminds me of how the roots (our ancestors) and branches (us and our descendants) of our family tree are connected through the stories of our lives.
